Meet Fiona and Raila: The Dynamic Duo Behind Fastrack
There are two of us – Fiona and Raila. We met in the early 2000s through our husbands, who are friends. After a few chats over wine (oops, meant tea), we came up with the idea of Fastrack based on our individual skill sets.
Fiona is ex-British, now Kenyan. She grew up in Zambia and has over 25 years of estate agency experience in Kenya, as well as experience in banking (someone had to do the maths after all…). Fiona loves nosey’ing around properties and is passionate about finding the right home for anyone and everyone! As a result of this she conducts most of our viewings.
Raila is Finnish, not related to the opposition leader, and has been in Kenya for more years than she can count. With experience in embassy, UN, and EU work, she was instrumental in setting up Fastrack relocation services. These days, Raila handles most of the lease preparation, invoices, and marketing. She also worked in banking once upon a time, but we’ll leave that there…
We both have three children, almost grown up now and away at school/university/working overseas. In our spare time, we both like to exercise. Fiona is away on safari a lot due to the nature of her hubby’s business, while Raila loves playing Bridge. We are both adept at enduring very long meetings where a lot of coffee is consumed, the world is put to rights, and some work is done on the side!
On a serious note, with more time on our hands now that our kids are older, we are excited about launching our new website and about diving into bigger and better opportunities.
